axiom-tex software package provides General purpose computer algebra system: style file for TeX, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install axiom-tex
axiom-tex is installed in your system.
Make ensure the axiom-tex package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep axiom-tex *
You will get with axiom-tex package name, version, architecture and description in a table
